Optional: add up to 1/2 cup additional water, if needed.To soak cashews, place them in a bowl of water for anywhere from 30 minutes to overnight. The longer you soak them the easier it will be to get a smooth consistency for your smoothie. This is important, especially for babies and young toddlers, to eliminate any risk of small pieces of cashews being a choking hazard.
