Meet the hosts!
Community Dietitian and Social Media Manager at
My Little Eater
You may recognize me from Instagram where I regularly share tips, tricks, and recommendations on feeding your babies and toddlers.
I also write blogs for MLE, test recipes, and provide personalized support to counselling clients through custom counselling packages and “ask me anything” sessions.
And when I’m not doing that, I love being out in our community meeting new parents, and helping them get started with solids through our in-person workshops!
I can’t wait to meet you and your little one at our next workshop!
Credentials
Registered Nurse, lactation specialist, ibclc, Little Latch Co. Lactation
I’m a Registered Nurse and IBCLC with almost 10 years of nursing experience. Throughout my career, I’ve had the absolute privilege of caring for many families and holding countless babies! I currently work at the IWK on the Family Newborn Care Unit, where I get to support families during one of the most exciting (and sometimes overwhelming!) times in their lives. It is truly a blessing to be apart of a new parents journey, helping them feel confident and supported.
I’m also a mom to two young children. They keep me busy, make me laugh every day, and bring so much joy to my life. They’re my two little best friends and the reason I understand firsthand just how rewarding, and challenging, parenthood can be.
I’m also the co-owner of Little Latch Co. Lactation, a supportive village for families in HRM. We offer one on one feeding support, Breastfeeding Basics workshops, CPR and infant education, and biweekly community support groups. I truly believe that having a community and feeling supported can make all the difference, especially in those early parenting years! Parenthood was never meant to be done alone, and every family deserves a village!
We highly encourage everyone who will be taking care of your baby to attend, especially if they’ll be feeding them on their own.
Due to limited space at the venue, if you are bringing another adult with you, you will need to purchase another ticket. Babies are of course welcome as well (no ticket needed).
We cannot guarantee that all insurance companies will cover a workshop like this. However, we can provide a receipt to submit a receipt for insurance purposes if your insurance covers it.
Send an email to [email protected].
We will send you an email after you’ve attended the workshop with your booklet to download.
Please do! We love getting to meet your cute little ones 🙂
We will have a foam mat for the floor if you’d like to set them down to play or maybe even nap. You can bring your car seat, hold them, or let them play on the floor 🙂
